About SOAM

SOAM is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the local artist and maker community while educating consumers about the importance of shopping local and investing in the arts. We foster community connection and regional sustainability through vibrant outdoor markets, community events like FOODCHELLA, and our year-round creative class space, the Art Pop Club.

Why We're Expanding Our Board

We’re currently seeking both voting and non-voting board directors, and we also have officer roles open. As we grow our impact, we're looking for individuals who are excited to guide SOAM’s mission and help lead the way in our next chapter.

Whether you're a maker, educator, business owner, creative professional, or passionate supporter of the arts — we want to hear from you.

Ideal Board Directors Will:

Be passionate about local arts, entrepreneurship, and community
Bring skills in areas such as fundraising, finance, nonprofit governance, small business, legal, or marketing
Commit to participating in board meetings and supporting SOAM’s programs and events
Serve as ambassadors for SOAM in their communities
